Footbridge to Severn Tunnel Junction car park

The new car park (with charging points) opposite Severn Tunnel Junction is always empty. It’s not linked to the train station! It’s already built, massively underused, and could encourage more rail use, if only it was connected by a foot bridge to the station. Nobody wants to walk 10 mins along a road to access a station you can see and almost touch. Make it free parking, connected by foot bridge, and actually do something that encourages public transport use.

    Armed Forces Day 2025

Anyone else looking forward to attending Caldicot Castle this coming Saturday 28th June? It's a great boost for it to be held here in Monmouthshire, there are still some tickets available. (free of course) but you need to register for them. :-)

Where are all the potholes gone?

Where are all the potholes gone? Just drove right through Pembrokeshire And there was something very strange, Not a single pothole seen, Throughout that massive range. Eventually I asked a local bloke, Can you kindly tell to me, Where are all the potholes gone? ….and he looked at me with glee. The potholes all were stolen, By the pirate Barti Ddu, That is what has happened… It's the truth, I'm telling you. He took the bloody lot of them, And there were loads and loads. Then he sold ‘em to Monmouth Council So they could decorate all their roads!

The Devauden Music Festival is to be held at the end of the month at Humble-by-Nature Penallt, just when curlews guard their nestlings

Apparently the Council cannot consider event licence objections based on risks to wildlife - only regarding noise, health and safety
