We are committed to providing school meals that children enjoy and that support their health, wellbeing, and learning.

In Wales, all primary school meals must follow the Healthy Eating in Schools regulations. This means our menus are carefully planned, nutritionally analysed, and portion sizes are set in line with Welsh Government guidance. There are also rules about the types of food we can serve, including limits on foods high in fat, sugar, and salt, and requirements to include a balance of healthier options.

We understand that this can sometimes influence what appears on the menu, portion sizes, and the level of choice available. However, within these guidelines, our aim is always to provide meals that are both nutritious and enjoyable—fueling children’s bodies and minds for the school day.

Your feedback is really important to us and will help shape how we continue to improve the service.
