Caldicot Town Council and Monmouthshire County Council are working together to produce a placemaking plan for Caldicot town centre.
Enhancing Caldicot will be a shared vision for a thriving and successful town centre.
The proposed plan will consider the main challenges and opportunities for Caldicot and identify priority projects. In turn this will help direct and prioritise investment from both the public and private sector that will support positive change.
Right from this earliest stage we want to hear your views about Caldicot: what’s working well, what could be improved and what projects or changes would make a positive difference to the town centre.
As part of this process, we are running two stages of community engagement:
Stage 1 (from Tuesday 2 June until Tuesday 23 June, 2026) is focused on understanding how the town centre works and the priorities for the community it serves.
Stage 2 (September - October 2026) will be about testing how the proposed projects can support the shared vision.
Have your say
Stage 1 consultation live from Tuesday 2 June. From this date you will be able to access the survey, which includes an interactive map, on this page and start sharing your views.
Drop-in session on Tuesday 2 June, 10am - 6pm. Join us outside 25 Newport Road, Caldicot to ask questions, share your views and let us know what matters most to you.
If you or anyone you know are unable to share your feedback online, physical copies of the survey can be found at the Town Council offices or Caldicot Community Hub throughout the consultation period.
What happens next?
The feedback from this survey and interactive map, as well as from the in-person public event, will guide the next steps of the project. We look forward to coming back to you in September – October to continue this conversation. Click 'Follow Project' on this page to keep up-to-date.
