Every three years, council-run libraries in Wales are required by Welsh Government to conduct surveys to gather the views and feedback of residents.

If you visit or use one of the six Monmouthshire libraries below we'd love to hear from you:

  • Abergavenny
  • Caldicot
  • Chepstow
  • Gilwern
  • Monmouth
  • Usk

How to share your feedback

Please complete the short survey below no later than midnight on Friday 17 October, 2025

Your responses will help us show the important role libraries play in the lives of local residents and demonstrate what libraries mean to you. Every response matters and we appreciate your time in completing the survey. Thank you.

*This survey is for those aged 17 and above. We will be running a consultation with those aged under 17 in March 2026.

About the libraries

Being a library member opens the door to so much more than just books. Whether you're a lifelong reader or just discovering what your local library has to offer, we want to know what you think of your local library.

Library membership is completely free, with no overdue charges and free book requests. You’ll find books for all ages, including audiobooks and large print, plus free access to eBooks, e-Audiobooks, newspapers and magazines through BorrowBox and PressReader.

There’s free Wi-Fi and internet access, family history tools like Find My Past and Ancestry, and trusted health information through the Reading Well schemes.

Your local library is also a place to connect—through events, activities, and shared spaces that bring people together.

Please take a moment to complete our short survey and help shape the future of your library.
