Match funding and private investment
Applicants will be expected to contribute match funding or demonstrate private sector investment, particularly for larger or growth‑focused projects. Requirements will be confirmed at full application stage.
Permissions and consents
Applicants are responsible for securing any necessary planning permission, listed building consent, landlord approval, or other statutory consents. Applicants should be aware that securing permissions can take time and are encouraged to consider this early when planning their project and indicative timescales.
For queries on whether you need planning permission, a Duty Planning Officer is available by telephone on 01633 644 831, Monday-Friday, 10am–2pm.

All awards will be subject to standard grant conditions, including project delivery timescales, monitoring requirements, evidence of spend, and clawback provisions if conditions are not met.
Procurement requirements
Applicants may be required to demonstrate that works and services have been procured in a fair and transparent way, in line with grant conditions and applicable procurement rules.
Subsidy control / state aid
Grant funding may be subject to UK Subsidy Control rules. Applicants will be asked to provide information at full application stage to ensure compliance.
